 February 2009 – final class of DIS candidates (250 trainees) begin the DIS training course

January 2009 – 207 DIS trainees graduate from the course and become DIS officers
December 2008 – third class of DIS candidates begin the DIS training course
September 2008 – 111 DIS trainees graduate from the course and become DIS officers
August 2008 – second class of DIS candidates begin the DIS training course
July 2008 – 237 DIS trainees graduate from the DIS course and become DIS officers
June 2008 – first class of DIS Officer candidates begin the 4-week DIS training course
May 2008 – 71 DIS commanders complete the Commander training course
January 2008 – 16 DIS Officers complete classes to serve as future DIS trainers
 

 As of January 2009:

 

143 UN Police Officers have been deployed throughout the Area of Operations. 
525 DIS Officers have been deployed to duty stations in eastern Chad, including Abéché, Gaga, Farchana, Bredjing, Treguine, Goz Beida, Goz Amer, Djabal, Guéréda, Mile, Kounoungou, Iriba, Iridimi, Touloum, Am Nabak, Bahaï, and Oure Cassoni.
